Description
NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE -- The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) laboratory facility in Morgantown, WV previously purchased a floating license for Fluent software, a computational fluid dynamics program. We now have a need to renew the license and support agreement for the software. The full license consists of two serial processes, one GAMBIT-only serial process and six additional parallel processes. The license will be effective until 9/23/2003. The license will be used on the Sun Enterprise 6000 system which is maintained and operated by NIOSH-OAMS. The Fluent software program is produced only by Fluent, Inc., and has been in use for the past five years at NIOSH. Data has already been calculated with this software and it should be compatible for use in continuing projects. The Government intends to negotiate on a sole-source basis with Fluent, Inc., Lebanon, NH. Organizations who believe they can provide the required license and support may respond within 10 days after publication of this notice. Responses shall be submitted to: Brenda L. Goodwin (MS-1019), Reference: #2002-Q-00467, DHHS, PHS, CDC, NIOSH, ALOSH, 1095 Willowdale Road, Morgantown, WV 26505. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $100,000. Information received would generally be used for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This notice is issued for informational purposes only.
