Description
The United States Penitentiary and/or Federal Prison Camp, Leavenworth, Kansas is seeking to establish a non-personal service contract for a Medical Records Clerk for the Health Services Unit. The Medical Records Clerk will assist the Administrative and Clinical Medical Staff with clerical duties. These duties include but are not limited to general clerical and secretarial duties: computer usage, medical record filing, transcription services, typing, schedule and complete forms for town trips, track and/or schedule patients for x-rays, compile data, and conduct audits. Work hours are performed Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., and shall not exceed thirty 30 hours per week: Fifteen (15) sessions per week, with each session two (2) hours in length, and up to three (3) sessions per day. Weekends and official Government holidays are excluded. Sessions may be adjusted to meet the needs of the Government. The Federal Bureau of Prisons anticipates awarding a contract for Fiscal Year 2003, with two (2) option years. The award of the contract does not constitute an employee/employer relationship. The contractor will not be supervised, but will be monitored to determine if services rendered are in compliance with the contract terms and conditions. The contractor will adhere to specific rules and regulations of the department and institution. Any individual working within the confines of USP/FPC Leavenworth must undergo a background investigation and drug test prior to being permitted inside the institution. The government may award the contract without discussions, therefore, offerors are instructed to submit their best offer initially. This is not a sealed bid. The solicitation is set aside for small businesses.
