Description
In accordance with the Federal Aviation Administration Acquisition Management Systems (FAAMS), the FAA Western-Pacific Region hereby announces its intention to solicit a Request For Offer (RFO) for the ZOA ATOPS Lighting Modification project in the Control Room and the Automation Wing DYSIM at Oakland ARTCC, Fremont, CA. The Project is divided into two line items. The Contractor shall provide all material, labor and equipment required to perform the work in item 1 and 2. The work shall include but not be limited to: ? Modify existing sound baffles ? Modify existing lighting system ? Modify existing Honeywell analog addressable fire alarm life-safety control system ? Modify existing automatic on/off fire ? Sprinkler system ? Modify existing HVAC ductwork. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this project is 234990. Criteria: Due to the nature of the ATOPS Lighting Mod Project, the FAA is requesting that only bidders who have experience with construction work in occupied FAA facilities bid on this project. The criteria for qualification shall be based on the following: Contractors will be qualified based on past performance of same or similar projects at a FAA facility. Contractor must submit the following information with Request. Contractor?s failure to submit the information may not receive a solicitation package. 1) Contractor shall furnish contract number and Point of Contact 2) Contractor shall furnish narrative of the work performed. The criteria for award will be based on the following: 1) Cost, and cost related items A MANDATORY site visit is scheduled for Wednesday, July 10, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. Requests to this SIR will be accepted through June 17, 2002 and shall be received no later than 1:00 p.m. (PST). Requests must identify the solicitation number and must be made in writing or via facsimile to Ms. Deana Galloway at (310) 725-6842. If you choose to respond via fax, the FAA will not be responsible for any failure attributable to the transmission or receipt of your response. VERBAL OR TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL NOT BE HONORED. Any request for RFO received after this date, regardless of how transmitted, will not be honored. The RFO for this project will be issued on or about June 26, 2002. The FAA may make award without communications or negotiations; however, communications and/or negotiations may be conducted to determine the Best Value to the FAA. Delivery Period: 90 Calendar Days if both items are awarded NAICS: 234990 Dollar Range: $150,000 to $200,000
