- Description
- Synopsis: Sealed bids from all business concerns will be accepted for National Capital Parks Project PLH-NACC 504(2), 505(3), 513(1), in Washington, D.C. The project consists of the rehabilitation of Maine Avenue from 17th Street to 14th Street, and rehabilitation of the Swan Boat Parking Area. The work includes removal of asphalt pavement and miscellaneous items, drainage improvements, PCC pavement repairs, HACP base and surface courses, PCC pavement, sidewalks, granite curbing, variable message signs, traffic signals, fencing, and other work. The project is expected to fall within the price range of $1,000,000 to $3,000,000. Bid documents are scheduled to be issued on or about July 2, 2002. Bids will be due on or about August 1, 2002. Interested parties should telephone 800-892-8776 to order bid documents. There is no fee for bid documents. Please call 703-404-6288 to verify availability of the bid documents. All requests for bid documents will be mailed first class. It is strongly recommended that requests for bid documents be received 7 calendar days before bid opening to ensure receipt of requested materials. Requests for 'faxing' or overnight mailing will not be accepted. ATTENTION: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) The Department of Transportation (DOT), offers working capital financing and bonding assistance for transportation related contracts. DOT's Bonding Assistance Program (BAP) offers bid, performance and payment bonds on contracts up to $1,000,000. DOT's Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers lines of credit to finance accounts receivable. Maximum line of credit is $500,000 with interest at the prime rate.
