- Description
- Qualification requirements for the lower-body, full coverage Advanced Technology Anti-G Suit (ATAGS) applicable to Part Numbers 261002-02, 261002-05, and 261002-08 are hereby established. Prospective sources (offerors) must satisfy these requirements in order to obtain engineering approval of their G-Suits. After satisfying all qualification requirements, the offeror will be added as an approved Air Force source for ATAGS. Funding for the ATAGS production effort is estimated to arrive in early FY04. At this time, it is estimated that 488 suits will be required. Offerors who are not qualified will not be considered for the production effort, and the schedule for the production effort will not be delayed in order to allow offerors to finish the qualification process. Therefore, all interested parties are advised to start the qualification process as soon as possible. Interested parties are invited to contact the buyer/PCO identified in this notice for a copy of the qualification requirements.
