Description
Synopsis: The purpsoe of this Amendment is to change the synopsis issued on 14 Mar 2002, from sole source to competitive and to add the first article. There is a basic production quantitiy of 6 ea including 2 first articles will be required from non-qualified sources and will be considered in the evaluation of the overall low offeror. This is a fixed-price contract to buy an Air Conditioner, applicable to LANTIRN AN/AAQ-14 Targeting Set, NSN 4120-01-287-4524AY, P/N 4100303, qty 6 each. Delivery: 31 Dec 2002. The approximate issue date will be 14 Jun 2002 with the approximate response date of 10 Jul 2002. The solicitation will be available for viewing or downloading from this web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. The request for solicitation should contain Company Name, Address, Point of Contact, Cage Code Number, Size of Business pursuant to North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 334511 (750 employees). No telephone requests will be accepted The proposed contract action is for supplies or services required are available from one or a limited number of responsible sources, and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. All potential offerors should contact the buyer/PCO identified above for additional information and/or to communicate concerns, if any, concerning this acquisition. If your concerns are not satisfied by the Contracting Officer, an Ombudsman has been appointed to hear serious concerns that are not resolved through established channels. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or Contracting Officer, but to communicate serious contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
