Description

DESCRIPTION: Replace Roof, Bldg 158. All work is to be done in accordance with drawings and specifications. Work is to remove the existing built-up roof membrane, augment the existing drainage patterns, and provide a built-up roof and flashings on Building 158 at Robins Air Force Base, Warner Robins, Georgia. Work includes but is not limited to the following principal items. Provide all labor, material, plant, equipment, supplies and coordination required to: remove and dispose of existing gravel, roof covering and insulation. Remove and dispose of all perimeter coping, gutters or flashings. Modify existing metal stairs and ladders. Cut and patch ceilings to install new roof drains and storm water conductors. Cut exterior wall for horizontal leader extension. Provide new tapered lightweight insulation concrete topping, thermal insulation, roof covering and base flashings. Remove and reset roof top mechanical and electrical equipment on new curb or racks. Apply modified asphalt flood coat and gravel cover. Set and paint new fabricated metal stairs. The magnitude of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Performance period is 240 calendar days. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 235610, $12.0 M annual receipts. Project is not subject to a statutory cost limitation. Solicitation is unrestricted. All responses to this solicitation notice and all questions must be in writing or faxed to (478) 926-7549. Solicitation should be issued during July 2002 with a bid opening scheduled for approximately 30 days after issuance. The Official Copy of the solicitation will not be provided on Compact Disk (CD-ROM) or paper and can only be accessed on the WEB Site: http://www.fedbizopps.gov. The web site will contain the drawings and specifications for review. The Government is not responsible for notifying potential offerors of changes to the solicitation. All changes, modifications, and other pertinent information will be posted on the web site above for viewing.
