Description

NA Defense Contracting Command - Washington intends to award a sole source basis. IAW FAR 6.302-1, Only one Responsible Source, a contract to MetaTech Corporation to provide a computational based assessment of the effects of nuclear generated electromagnetic pulse on the country wide US power grid with a primary focus on assessing the E3 environmental component of the Hemp, its coupling to long lines and the response of the national power grid, and with a secondary focus on solar storm effects on the grid. Th e initial results will be delivered within ninety days and will employ the methodology previously demonstrated to assess the response of the country wide UK power grid. No solicitation will be available. This announcement is for information only. See N ote 22.
