NA REQUEST FOR INFORMATION: Advanced Mini Multirole Precision Guided Missile (AMMPGM) Motor Development Technology. White Papers Due 30 days from posting. Contract POC: Ms. Marcia N. Tully, AMSAM-AC-RD-BB/ Procurement, (256) 842-7406, e-mail: marcia. tully@redstone.army.mil. The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Research, Development, and Engineering Center, Redstone Arsenal, AL, is seeking sources of information on current or near term technology that can be applied in the design and developmen t of a new 2.75-Inch rocket motor to be used in an upcoming motor technology program. The objective of this program is to provide a candidate propulsion system that has a longer range (8km) than the current system while shortening the motor length. Curre nt issues that must be addressed include: 1. Reduced motor volume and longer range, 2. Insensitive munitions and longer range, 3. Class 1.3 minimum smoke propellant and longer range, 4. Spin profile and tolerated thrust misalignment, 5. Stability margin and helicopter downwash, 6. Helicopter engine surge, 7. Negating ?tip-off? error. Interested vendors/contractors are asked to submit a white paper containing a description of the technologies that they possess, or are conducting, that have potential appli cation to this project. Responses should also include a brief summary of experience in this technical field.
