Description
NA It is the Government's intent to procure quantities of Air Conditioners, horizontal, compact with nominal cooling capacity of 36,000 BTUH, nominal heating capacity of 31,200 BTUH and input power requirements of 208 volts, 3 phase, 50/60 Hz. The Air Conditi oner is intended primarily for use in mobile tactical electronics shelters and will be powered by tactical generators. These electronic shelters cannot tolerate voltage dips caused by high momentary loads such as the inrush current seen when starting a com pressor. For this reason, operation and design of the unit cannot result in high-inrush compressor start. In addition, the Air Conditioner shall provide protection against Nuclear Biological and Chemical warfare environments; Withstand storage temperatures rating from 60? to 160? F; Withstand a continuous operating temperature from 0? to 120? F for cooling and from 50? to 80? F for heating; Provide protection against rain in accordance with Method 506, salt fog in accordance with Method 507, and humidity in accordance with Method 509 of MIL-STD-810; Be equipped with a re-useable filter for the evaporator return air supply section. The weight of the Air Conditioner with full refrigerant charge and all ancillary equipment shall not exceed 435 lbs. A Performanc e Specification detailing the technical data for the manufacture and acceptance of the item will be used for the acquisition. CECOM will be reviewing this acquisition for Small Business Set-Aside consideration.
