Description
NA : Beach nourishment and rock revetment repair for the Ediz Hook erosion project to protect the sand spit at Port Angeles, Washington. Beach nourishment required furnishing and placing up to 50,000 tons of 1 to 12 inch rounded gravel and cobbles at sele cted locations along Ediz Hook between the 0 to +12 foot MLLW contours. Also nourish a small area adjacent to the east end of the US Coast Guard station with approximately 3,000 tons of 10 to 12 inch cobble. Rock revetment repair requires re-keying up to 500 readily accessible armor rocks that have fallen from the revetment onto the beach along the 14,600 foot long structure; no new armor rock will be used. All work to occur during July 30 through September periods. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 234990 and the Standard Industry Classification Code (SIC) is 1629 with size standard of $28.5 million. This requirement is 100% set aside for HubZone Small Business Concerns. For the purp oses of this procurement, a concern is considered a small business if its annual average gross revenue, taken for the last 3 fiscal years, does not exceed $28.5 million. This solicitation will be issued as a Electronic Bid Set (EBS) on Seattle District U. S. Army Corps of Engineers Contracting Web page in electronic format only. No disks will be mailed. Firms must register via the Internet at the following address: http://www.nws.usace.army.mil/ct/ in order to receive notification about amendments. The s olicitation will be available for download on or about 20 June 2002. The proposed procurement will result in a fixed-price contract.
