- Description
- The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to issue a Request for Proposal on a sole source basis to Lockheed Martin Naval Electronics and Surveillance Systems (LM-NESS), 199 Borton Landing Road, Moorestown, NJ 08057-0927 for the acquisition of engineering services in support of DDG 51 Class and CG 47 Class AEGIS Combat System (ACS) Installation, Upgrade, Conversion and Testing. The scope of this requirement includes a level of effort contract to plan, manage, integrate, install and test the ACS in DDGs procured for FY 99 through FY 07. The required services are for Program Management and Operation Support, Quality Assurance, Configuration Management, Ship Design Integration, Installation Support, Firmware Maintenance, Combat System Test and Evaluation, Navy Furnished Material Support, Special Studies for the DDG 51 Class and CG 47 Class ships, and future-ship integration studies. Lockheed Martin is the only known firm possessing the requisite knowledge and technical experience to provide ACS integration, installation, test and evaluation. The period of performance is from date of contract for one year with options for 9 additional years. This work will be awarded pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1).
