Description

The Fleet &Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to acquire a Predator Ground Data Terminal (PGDT) for the United States Joint Forces Command in accordance with the procedures set forth in FAR Part 15. Award of firm fixed price contract is anticipated. The applicable NAIC is 336413 and the Small Business Standard is 1,000 employees. General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc, is considered the only responsible source that can provide the required Predator ground data terminal as General Atomics is the developer of the Predator Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV) and has been the only source to make continuous functional and system upgrades to the ground data terminal to support the Predator UAV. This acquisition requires delivery of the ground data terminal unit within eight months after date of award. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within forty-five days after date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All responsible sources may submit a quote that shall be considered by the FISC Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia.
