Description

The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) intends to purchase and install a PBX telephone system for the Federal Executive Institute (FEI), Charlottesville, VA. The required equipment replaces the existing Centrex telephone system at the FEI. The contract will require a complete "turn-key" solution to include all hardware, labor, warranty, future maintenance, and the coordination of service providers required for system cutover. The PBX telephone system must be expandable, offer reduced operating costs over the existing Centrex service, include voice mail for all FEI employees and guests, have hospitality features, and the ability to network across T-1 connections to other remote switches which must share the voice mail system installed in the PBX system. This procurement is open to BOTH large and small business, and is classified under NAICS code 334210, Telephone Apparatus Manufacturing, with a size standard of 1,000 employees. OPM intends to award a firm, fixed-price contract for this acquisition. OPM anticipates releasing this solicitation on/about July 12, 2002, and proposals will be due approximately thirty (30) days after that date.
