Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The statement of work, line items, and applicable terms and conditions are contained in the RFQ (SSA-RFQ-02-0239) which is being issued concurrently with this announcement. These terms and conditions include the following FAR clauses and provisions, as well as any addenda to these clauses: 52.212-1; 52.212-2; 52.212-3; 52.212-4; and 52.212-5. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-07. SSA has a need for preventive and remedial (i.e., on-call) maintenance for the following four pieces of equipment: two (2) Bell and Howell EI 10,000 Automatic Electronic Inserting Mailing System Model A 496-1-C8; one Bell and Howell Mailstar 500 Automated Electronic Inserting Mailing System Model #C8; one Pitney Bowes Automated Electronic Inserting Machine Model MD06. The period of performance is to be one base year with four one-year options. All responses to this combined synopsis/solicitation are due no later than 2 PM, Thursday, 27 June 02.
