Description
The U. S. Postal Service intends to issue a Fixed Price Contract for the Renovation of an Existing Building and Site at the Near South Carrier Annex located at 4301 W. 69th Street, Chicago, Illinois. This project is to convert an existing industrial building on about 5 acres to an U.S. Postal Service Carrier Annex. This work includes, but is not limited to, site work, underground utilities, concrete, masonry, finishes, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and roofing. Completion time for the entire project is 300 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. The U.S. Postal Service intends to award a contract, subject to approval and funding, to the responsible offer whose proposal, conforming to the solicitation, will be most advantageous. Evaluation criteria in addition to price is as follows: 1. Management Plan and 2. Cost Proposal. This solicitation is limited to PREQUALIFED CONTRACTORS ONLY as a result of Construction Qualification Statement No. 162640-02-A-0018 dated March 22, 2002. The proposal due date is July 10, 2002. All proposal information received is CONFIDENTIAL until award of a contract. The name of the successful offeror and the amount of the contract will be released as public information. The number of offerors, their names, and the amount of their offers WILL NOT BE RELEASED AS PUBLIC INFORMATION. This information is exempt from disclosure under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Exemption 4.
