- Description
- The Defense Distribution Center located in New Cumberland, PA has a requirement for the purchase of all labor and material necessary to install and test a Track Shoe Spill Containment System consisting of an industrial manipulator and a drip pan. This equipment will be used to lift, transport and tilt bundles of track shoes to drain and collect excess preservative, P1 an asphalt based preservative containing solvent, which collects in the small openings located at the top and mid portion of the track shoes where countersunk bolts secure sections of the track shoes. The equipment will be installed in Zone 6, Building 595, Defense Distribution Center Red River (DDRT). DDRT is located approximately 18 miles west of Texarkana TX, on the Red River Army Depot Installation. The Contractor shall provide the equipment system complete with all controls, software, wiring, and all necessary equipment to make the system fully functional. Total performance time is approximately 180 days ARO. It is anticipated that a lump sum price will be requested and should include all destination charges. This acquisition will be solicited on a competitive nonrestricted basis. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 421830. A written solicitation will be issued on or around July 15 and will close on Aug 16, 2002. A pre-bid conference and site tour is tentatively scheduled for July 24, 2002. The Government intends to award a firm fixed-price contract resulting from this notice to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to this notice will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered.
