Description
DTFA11-02-R-00041, Hillsboro Airport Traffic Control Tower (ATCT) Modernization, Portland ? Hillsboro Airport in Hillsboro, Oregon. The purpose of this Screening Information Request (SIR) is to seek competent and qualified Socially and Economically Disadvantaged Business (SEDB) who are expressly certified by the Small Business Administration (SBA) as 8(a) contractors to modernize the ATCT at the Portland ? Hillsboro Airport, Hillsboro, Oregon. The work in general includes the following: 1. Asbestos removal (mostly floor tile and wall board) 2. Complete demolition of existing electrical system and installation of complete new electrical system 3. Removal of cab consoles and Installation of Government furnished cab consoles, and new millwork for the remaining cab area 4. Remove and replace one cab window. 5. New roof, new roof railing, and miscellaneous catwalk work 6. New lighting and ground system for the ATCT 7. Remove fire alarm system and replace with Class A Fire Alarm system and miscellaneous work 8. Install new HVAC system on the 3rd and 4th floors 9. Miscellaneous site work, top coat and re-stripe parking lot 10. New office room partitions and miscellaneous architecture work 11. 600ft of new conduit for telephones Prospective offerors are required to submit a technical and business proposal. Proposals will be technically evaluated on the basis of the following criteria: 1. Experience in similar ATCT construction projects at operating airports 2. Experience of Project Manager/Superintendent supervising the job to insure that project stays on schedule. 3. General past performance-demonstrating contractor?s ability to deliver projects on schedule. 4. Proposed subcontractors. Subcontractors relevant past performance during last 3 years may be used to satisfy requirements of criteria #1 & #3. 5. Adequate financial resources and capabilities. 6. Copy of 8(a) from SBA Magnitude of construction is $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Project Duration: NOT TO EXCEED 9 Months, Liquidated Damages shall apply.
