- Description
- THIS REQUIRMENT IS 100% SET-ASIDE FOR SOCIALLY AND ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGE SEDB/8(a)). Construction to Design/ Install 3- Zone Automatic Fire Sprinklers System at the Memphis, TN., Miami, FL., and Jacksonville FL., Air Route Traffic Control Centers (ARTCC). Work will include, but is not limited to the removal of two existing Halon 1301 fire-extinguishing systems. All work will be in FAA-occupied rooms containing critical, in-use, electronic computer and communication equipment. A pre-proposal and site visit is tentatively scheduled for July 09, 2002, 10:00 a.m. at the Jacksonville Air Route Traffic Control Center. A Request for Offers (RFO) will be issued on or about July 15, 2002, with offers being due on July 29,2002. The FAA is seeking qualified Small Business SEDB 8(a) contractors with fire safety sprinkler experience. It is the intention of the FAA to negotiate the completion of required work for all sites under a single contract - awarding all sites to a single bidder. The magnitude of construction is estimated between $250,000 and $500,000. The performance period is 90 calendar days.
