- Description
- The 1st Contracting Squadron at Langley AFB, VA has a requirement to repair non-compliant water mains (phase 3) at Langley AFB. The work will consist of installing new water distribution mains and appurtenances including PVC pipe, gate valves, hydrants, shut-off valves and service connections throughout portions of the Base. This project is being solicited through unrestricted competition. The applicable NAICS code is 234910. The magnitude of this project falls in the range of $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. A bid guarantee will be required from all offerors. Payment and Performance Bonds will be required prior to start of work. The prime contractor will be required to perform at least 50% of the on-site work accomplished on this project. Prospective offerors are expected to attend the official site visit, which will be announced in the solicitation. The performance period is 360 calendar days. Award will be made based upon Best Value to the government, utilizing past performance-price tradeoff practices. No response to this notice is necessary and no source list shall be maintained. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be issued, but the Request for Proposal will be available through the Electronic Posting System, at FedBizOpps (www.eps.gov) within the next 30 days. All potential offerors are reminded that participation in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) is a requirement of DFARS 252.204-7004. Lack of registration in the CCR will make that offeror ineligible for award.
