Description
PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE AND EMERGENCY SERVICES FOR UNINTERRUPTED POWER SUPPLY (UPS) FOR COMPUTER NETWORK SYSTEM. This requirement is a 100% set-aside for small business. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice and FAR 52.222-41, Service Contract Act of 1965, as amended (May 1989). The Department of Labor?s Wage Determination applies to applicable service labor categories. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) FAR Parts 12 and 13. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 01-07, April 2002. It is the contractor?s responsibility to be familiar with applicable clauses and provisions. All line items will be awarded on a single purchase order. Interested offerors are requested to submit a quotation on this requirement to: 314th Contracting Squadron, 642 Thomas Avenue, Little Rock AFB AR 72099-4971 or FAX to: (501) 987-8119. Contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) (website: http://www.ccr.gov/) or by calling and registering prior to receiving award: (888) 352-9333. Contractor/vendor will submit a completed copy of the FAR Part 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications?Commercial Items (April 2002). Quote must be received no later than by close of business, 4:00 PM CST, and may be received by FAX or e-mail to Points of Contracts as listed on this notice not later than this notice?s response date. Contract Terms and Conditions for Commercial Items, FAR Part 52.212-4 applies to this acquisition, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Status or Executive Orders for Commercial Items, FAR Part 52.212-5 applies to this acquisition. FAR Part 52.232-33, Mandatory Information for Electronic Funds Transfer Payment (Aug 1996) is incorporated by reference. Business size standard: $21 Million annual receipts or less is considered a small business by the Small Business Administration; the Standard Industrial Code (SIC) is: 7379 and the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is: 541519. FAR Part 52.212-1, Instructions of Offerors for Commercial Items, and FAR Part 52.212-2, Evaluation for Commercial Items, apply to this solicitation and will be used to evaluate items as consistent with below stated description of requirements. The Government will award a purchase order resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government. The Government reserves the right to evaluate technical compliance/delivery capability and make a best value decision. This could result in award to other than the lowest price offer. DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENTS: Provide preventive maintenance and emergency services for one year (1 October 2002 through 30 September 2003) to include two annual inspections to the Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) for the base-wide computer network system equipment, two (2) annual inspections to the batteries, plus 24-hour, 7-days a week emergency service to include one (1) year of labor and parts: repair-related expenses and repair materials with unlimited service calls within the terms of the agreement.
