- ESC/PKO, Operational Contracting Hanscom AFB, MA 01731 is requesting proposals for the repair of HVAC ductwork and asbestos abatement in Building 100, New Boston Air Force Station, New Hampshire. The scope of the project consists of furnishing all supervision, services, labor, materials, tools, transportation, travel, equipment, and performance of all operations required to repair ductwork and abate asbestos in accordance with the drawings and specifications. The principal items of work include, but are not necessarily limited to removal of existing ductwork and associated controls, installing ductwork and controls, replacement of humidification equipment, removal and replacement of suspended acoustical ceilings, and asbestos abatement. The project is located in a controlled facility on a controlled Military installation. The magnitude of construction for this project is between $500,000.00 and $2,000,000.00. The NAICS code for this project is 235110. All interested parties MUST be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database in order to receive an award. Applications for CCR registration may be obtained at Internet address: http://www.ccr2000.com. The solicitation, technical specifications, and drawings will be exclusively on the Internet at http://www.herbb.hanscom.af.mil. These items will not be mailed and telephone requests will not be honored. The Request For Proposal will be released electronically on or about 10 July 02. Proposals sent via mail, hand-carried, Federal Express, etc. shall be mailed to ESC/PKOC (Operational Contracting), Attn: Doug Punzel, 20 Schilling Circle, Bldg 1305, 3rd Floor, Hanscom AFB, MA 01721-2800. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after receipt of proposals, with no obligation to the offeror by the Government. Offerors are advised that the Government will not pay for Offerors' proposal costs. This solicitation is subject to the availability of funds. FUNDS are NOT currently available for this requirement. Unless funds are made available for this requirement, no contract will be awarded. The Contract Managers for this action are Rob Baker at 781-377-3244 and Doug Punzel at 781-377-6797. An Acquisition Ombudsman, Colonel Joseph P. Maryeski, Director, Commander's Staff, has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during proposal development. You should only contact the Ombudsman with issues or problems you cannot satisfactorily resolve with the program manager and/or contracting officer. The Ombudsman role is to hear concerns, issues, and recommendations and communicate these to the appropriate government personnel. The Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality if desired.
