Description
The LE Directorate at Robins AFB Georgia has a requirement for the acquisition of wheeled aircraft tow tractors (MB-2s). The requirement will be competed on a full and open basis and will be written for a 5-year period of time as a requirements contract iaw FAR 16.503. The resulting contract from the RFP will be firm-fixed-priced and will be procured using FAR 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR 15, Contracting by Negotiation, and will emply the AFFARS Performance Price Trade-Off procedures for a best value award decision. Offerors shall adhere to detailed instructions to offerors relative to submission of a past and present performance volume and completed RFP. Best Estimated Quantities as well as a Commercial Item Description are included in the Request for Proposal package. The approximate date for the release of the Request for Proposal is on or around 28 June 2002. All potential offerors should contact the buyer identified above for additional information adn/or to communicate concerns, if any, relative to this acquisition. If your concerns are not satisfied by the contracting officer, an Ombudsman has been appointed to hear serious contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program manager or the contracting officer but to communicate serious concerns, issues, recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel.
