Description

NA DESC: M198 Howitzer Improvement Power Enhancement (HIPE) Covers, Cable Guards, Spacers & Spare Parts. Items to procure are: 1)Conduit Guide Cover: NSN: 5340-01-494-3626, P/N: 12992979 -This item is a machined L-shaped cover that is made out of standard a ngle aluminum alloy. It is 5 inches long, 1.26 inches wide, and 2 inched high and has two drilled holes. 2)Clamp Pad Cover: NSN: : 5340-01-494-1554, P/N: 12992982-This item machined out of 0.190 stock rectangular aluminum alloy. It is 2.27 inches long a nd 1.02 inches wide and has two drilled holes. 3)Aft Cable Guard: NSN: 5340-01-494-2529, P/N: 12992984 - This item is machined out of 2.00 x 1.00 x .125 stock extruded-sharp corner channel aluminum alloy. It is 59.04 inches long and has six drilled hole s. 4)Forward Cable Guard: NSN: 5340-01-494-3631, P/N: 12993084-This item is machined out of 2.00 x 1.00 x .125 stock extruded-sharp corner channel aluminum alloy. It is 49.56 inches long and has four drilled holes. It also has a loop welded to it. 5)Curv ed Spacer: NSN: 5365-01-494-3638, P/N: 12992986 - This item is machined out of 0.50 stock aluminum alloy plate. It is 16.75 inches long and has two slotted holes and one through hole. 6)Straight Cover: NSN: 5340-01-494-3636, P/N: 12992987-This item is fo rmed out of 0.075 (14 GA) stock low carbon sheet steel. It is formed to make a channel that is 12.53 inches long and has four slotted holes. 7)Spare Parts for: A)Conduit Guide Cover, B) Clamp Pad Cover, C)Aft Cable Guard, D)Forward Cable Guard, E)Curved Sp acer, and, F)Straight Cover, Estimated requirements are: 120 each of the Conduit Guide Cover, 120 each of the Clamp Pad Cover, 120 each of the Aft Cable Guard, 120 each of the Forward Cable Guard, 120 each of the Curved Spacer, 120 each of the Straight Co ver (PSDU), 120 each of the Radio Box Mount, and differing quantities of spare parts. FOB is Destination. For use on the M198 Howitzer. Estimated issue date is 28 June 2002. The proposed contract will be a three year Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quanti ty (IDIQ) Contract. In accordance with FAR Part 5.201, the Government does not intend to use FAR Part 12 for this acquisition (NOTE 26). Proposed contract is 100% small business set-aside. This solicitation incorporates a Technical Data Package (TDP) that cannot be provided via the internet. Vendors who need this TDP in order to prepare a bid or proposal are instructed to request same by submission of an email request to: tacom-ri-tdp@ria.army.mil. Any said requests should contain the following information; CAGE Code (if available), Company Name, Point of Contact (optional), Street Address, City, State, Zip Code, Telephone Number. A TDP will be provided by normal mail after the solicitation has been released to the internet. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501, 5.102(a)(7) and 14.205-1(c) therefore hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the internet: https:// aais.ria.army.mil/aais/SOLINFO/index.htm. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is ther efore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments that may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/ receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal non-responsive and result in the rejection of same.
