Description

NA DESC: M198 Howitzer Improvement Power Enhancement (HIPE) Box Assemblies and Spare Parts. The items to procure are: 1) ITEM: Battery Box Assembly, NSN: 6135-01-494-3607, P/N: 12992950 - A welded aluminum box that has a welded aluminum housing attached to th e front of the box and also has a hinged welded aluminum lid. The assembly contains a rail assembly, two clamp assemblies, cable assemblies, and a connector housing assembly. The rail assembly is a machined aluminum plate that has a circuit breaker, fuse , and cable assembly attached to it. The clam assembly is a welded aluminum item that has an insulation sleeve and rubber pad attached to it. The connector housing assembly is a welded aluminum box that contains a switch, NATO connector, and four cable a ssemblies. The housing connector assembly, rail assembly and two clamp assemblies are attached to the main box to form the final assembly. 2) ITEM: Antenna/NATO Box Assembly, NSN: 1025-01-494-3624, P/N: 12992960 - A welded aluminum box that has an antenna base, NATO receptacle, and two cable assembles attached to it to form the final assembly. 3)ITEM: Radio Box Assembly, NSN: 1025-01-494-1560 P/N: 12993050 - A welded aluminum box that has a hinged lid. The box contains a clamping device, cable assembly, and a speaker box assembly. The speaker box assembly is it's own welded aluminum box that has one circuit card assembly, wiring harnesses, and other miscellaneous items that are attached to the box to form the final assembly. 4)ITEM: Power Supply Distribu tion Unit(PSDU), NSN: 6110-01-494-6368, P/N: 12993100 - A welded aluminum box that has circuit card assemblies, wiring harnesses, cable assemblies, and other miscellaneous items that are attached to the box to form the final assembly. 5) Spare Parts for: A ) Battery Box Assembly, B) Antenna/NATO Box Assembly, C) Radio Box Assembly, & D) Power Supply Distribution Unit(PSDU). Estimated requirements are 120 EACH of the Battery Box Assembly, 120 each of the Antenna/NATO Box Assembly, 120 each of the Radio Box Assembly, & 120 each of the Power Supply Distribution Unit(PSDU), various quantities of spare parts. FOB is Destination. For use on the M198 Howitzer. Estimated issue date is 28 June 2002. The proposed contract will be a three year Indefinite Delivery, I ndefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract. Proposed contract is 100% small business set-aside. In accordance with FAR Part 5.201, the Government does not intend to use FAR Part 12 for the acquisition (NOTE 26). This solicitation incorporates a Technical Data Pa ckage (TDP) that cannot be provided via the internet. Vendors who need this TDP in order to prepare a bid or proposal are instructed to request same by submission of an email request to: tacom-ri-tdp@ria.army.mil. Any said requests should contain the fo llowing information; CAGE Code (if available), Company Name, Point of Contact (optional), Street Address, City, State, Zip Code, Telephone Number. A TDP will be provided by normal mail after the solicitation has been released to the internet. This solici tation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501, 5.102(a)(7) and 14.205-1(c) therefore hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the internet: https://aais.ria.army.mil/aais/SOLINFO/index.htm. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders ma iling list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments that may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and t ime set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal non-responsive and result in the rejection of same.
