- NA The Army Aviation and Missile Command proposes to procure one (1) Ultra-Short Pulsed Laser System which shall include the following subsystems: 1) Femotosecond laser oscillator and pump source; 2) Regenerative Amplifier; 3) One Kilohertz amplifier pump sou rce; and, 4) 10 Hertz, high peak power, amplifier pump source. This procurement is restricted to Spectra-Physics Lasers, Inc., 1335 Terra Bella Avenue, Mountain View, CA 94039-7013. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the G overnment intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302 based on extensive market research for this commercial item. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or su bmit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within fifteen (15) days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive proc urement.
