- NA The project consists of construction of 5.4 miles of Levee 74 North, removal of existing culvert structure S-256 (three barrel 84 inch diameter and 104 feet long corrugated metal pipes), construction of a new culvert structure S-256 (two 60 inch diameter a nd 104 feet long corrugated metal pipes), 265 feet south of the existing S-256, installation of two sets of temporary culverts, excavation of two replacement canals, raising 600 linear foot of old Highway 192 and construction of an access ramp. Dewatering will also be involved in the levee construction. Estimated construction time is 365 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Magnitude of construction is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. Solicitation will be issued on or about 11 July 2002 and open on or about 27 August 2002. Solicitation will be issued in electronic format only. Bidders will be provided a CD-ROM at no cost. Interested bidders must register electronically. The geographical restriction of the competition will be limited to 8(a) certified firms located within the geographical area serviced by Small Business Administration (SBA) within the State of Florida and other firms having a bona fide branch office located within the geographical boundaries of the relevant competitive areas. All other firms are deemed ineligible to submit a bid. All eligible businesses are encouraged to participate.
