Description

Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award a sole-source FAR Part 12 Indefinite Delivery Requirements contract for supplies/services in support of the software re-hosting of the CDNU 900A Variant. NAVAIR intends to award this contract to Rockwell Collins, Inc., of Cedar Rapids, Iowa under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source. Because of the commercial and proprietary nature of the CDNU 900A Variant Task Manager software and CDNU 900A Variant hardware, Rockwell Collins, Inc. is the only known source capable of satisfying the Government?s requirement to re-host the CDNU 900A Variant Task Manager software and integrate it with the ARC-210 radio installed on KC-130 in-service aircraft. Rockwell Collins, Inc., is the sole manufacturer of CDNU 900A variant, which is a form, function, and fit replacement for the CDNU-800 currently installed on KC-130 in-service aircraft, and as such is the only source capable of meeting the Government?s program schedule and interoperability/functionality requirements. Anticipated contract award to occur fourth quarter of fiscal year 2002.
