Description
This Request for Proposal is for the drydock service craft overhaul of the YTB-808 and the YTB-836. This solicitation is a small business set-aside under the NAIC of 336611. The RFP will be issued on or about 03 July 2002. Proposals will be due on or about 02 August 2002. Sources who currently hold, or are qualified for and willing to enter into an Agreement for Boat Repair/Master Ship Repair Agreement (ABR/MSRA) in accordance with DFARS 217.71 prior to award, may submit a proposal which shall be considered by this agency. Firms who do not possess either an ABR or MSRA are ineligible for award unless adequate time exists to permit an assessment of the ABR/MSRA application and to execute the ABR/MSRA agreement(s) without impacting the vessel's availability dates. YTB-808 work includes, but is not limited to: drydocking; hull preservation; zinc replacement; hull fender replace ment; open/inspect/repair tanks/voids; refurbish deck house watertight doors; shell reinforcement; repair cracked frame; install fathometer; install pilot house door; remove/inspect/refurbish/test all sea valves; replace cooling water line; remove/refurbish/reinstall prop/shaft; remove/inspect rudder and associated parts; inspect/repair damaged pilot house; inspect/service engine/reduction gear control system, and other incidental related work. YTB-836 work includes, but is not limited to: drydocking; hull preservation; zinc replacement; hull fender replacement; open/inspect/repair tanks/voids; refurbish deck house watertight doors; shell reinforcement; repair cracked frame; remove/inspect/refurbish/test all sea valves; remove/refurbish/reinstall prop shaft; remove/inspect rudder and associated parts. Vessel size: Approx. 109?L x 31?W (includes fenders), max navigational draft 14', displacement 282 tons (light) and 346 tons (full).
