Description

The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego intends to award a sole source contract modification to N66001-99-C-0031 with Raytheon Systems Company of Danbury, Connecticut under the authority of FAR 6.302. This proposed modification is being processed as sole source to Raytheon Systems in order to avoid duplication of costs/delays that any other contractor would require. The proposed modification will extend the contract completion date from 30 September 2002 through 30 September 2003 and make the following changes to the contract statement of work: The requirement for the contractor to deliver a Shipboard Laser Acquisition System (SBLAS) sensor is changed from a Field of Vision (FOV) of 45 degrees to 90 degrees. In addition, following the field test, the contractor shall refine algorithms based on results and lessons learned. The contractor shall also perform a study to determine the feasibility of size and weight reduction as well as a production cost analysis. The contractor shall develop possible designs for integration of the SBLAS into a laser counter measure system. The North American Industry Classification Systems code is 54133. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. See numbered notes 22 and 26
