- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This procurement is not a small business set-aside; any responsible source may submit an offer. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number M67400-02-T-0569 applies and is issued as a Request for Quote. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-45 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-11. The North American Industry Classification System code is 336999. The business size standard is NTE 5.0 million. The government requires new components/equipments in response to this solicitation. Offerors mu st identify any used, reconditioned, remanufactured, and recovered government material on their quotes. The vendor shall provide descriptive literature for all equal item(s). If offeror provide ?or equal? item(s) and does not provide descriptive literature by 28 June 2002, the submitted quotes will be considered as non-responsive. The agency need is for: ITEM 0001: QTY: 6 each Brand new tricon containers; Standard features: corrugated steel sides, roof and swing doors, heavy duty tread plate steel floor. Tie down steel lasing rings, 4000 lbs cap each. Three way forklift pockets, restraint system, shoring slot design to support 2? x 6? lumber. Vents, two each. Other features: connecting couplers - 3 per Tricon, connecting coupler storage bracket ? 1 each, manifest box ? 2 each, adjustable shelving brackets ? 3 sets, decking and shoring beams ? 12 each. Tricon length: exterior ? 6?5 ??, interior ?6? 2 1/16?, height: exterior ? 8? 0?, interior ? 7? 5 ??, width: exterior ? 8? 0?, interior ? 7? ??, door opening: height ? 7? 1 ??, width ? 6? 1 5/8? DELIVERY: Shall be FOB Destination to TMO, MCB Camp S D Butler, Mark for __________________, Bldg 401, Camp Kinser, JA 901-2100 Okinawa, Japan. All material awarded under this contract are expected to be delivered within 30 days after the order is placed with the successful offeror. SOLICITATION PROVISIONS: The following provisions apply to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items (Oct 2000). FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation-Commercial Items (Jan 1999); the following factor shall be used to evaluate offers: Lowest Price Technically Acceptable, and delivery factors. Award will be made on the basis of the lowest evaluated price of proposals meeting or exce eding the acceptability standards for non-cost factors.
