Description

The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS), the Department of Defense Medical School and Health Sciences University, intends to award on a sole source basis, a contract to the Henry M. Jackson Foundation (HMJF) for the Advancement of Military Medicine, Rockville, MD to provide all personnel, supplies, equipment and services (as required) to support the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences'Center for Education and Research in Patient Safety (CERPS). The objective of this effort is to develop a broad range of educational materials to support the Department of Defense's Patient Safety Program. HMJF will assist CERPS with the development of educational requirements and materials in Patient Safety for distribution to a broad audience - health professionals at all stages of training and practice, health care support personnel, and patients and their families. This contract is being awarded in accordance with statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition at 10 U.S.C.2304 (c)(5), "Authorized or Required by Statute". The proposed procurement is in compliance with Public Law 92-426, entitled: Uniformed Service Health Professions Revitalization Act of 1972 and 10 U.S.C 178 and 2113 (j)(1)(A) which authorizes USUHS to award contracts on a sole source basis to the Henry M. Jackson Foundation.
