Description
The United States General Services Administration (GSA) invites industry/academia to comment on the draft Statement of Objectives and associated documents for the Support for the Federal Acquisition Institute. This is a Request for Comment (RFC) and not a formal solicitation, therefore the Government will not pay for any comments received in response to this RFC and the Government makes no assertion that a formal solicitation will be released. This RFC contains the following documents: 1. Draft Statement of Objectives for Support for the Federal Acquisition Institute (FAI) 2. Appendix One FAI Statutes and Policies 3. Appendix Two Acquisition Corporate University 4. Appendix Three Project Plan: Competency-Based Profile for the Acquisition Workforce 5. Appendix Four Project Plan: FAI Online University 6. Appendix Five Project Plan: Acquisition Career Management Information System (ACMIS) 7. Appendix Six Charter for Interagency Procurement Career Management Committee 8. Appendix Seven Managing and Developing Acquisition Business Leaders: A Model GSA requests comments on these documents by May 15, 2002. Please e-mail your comments/questions to gloria.sochon@gsa.gov with a copy furnished also to Michael Jackson at michael.jackson@gsa.gov. GSA also plans to hold an Industry Day on Wednesday, May 8, 2002, from 8:30 until 11:30, at the GSA Central Office Building at 18th & F Street, NW, Washington, DC, 20405, in the GSA Auditorium on the first floor. Industry/academia are encouraged to participate in this forum. Please let us know by Friday, May 3, 2002 if you plan to attend the conference by sending an e-mail notice to Ms. Sochon at the above e-mail address. Those intending to attend the conference should plan to arrive in time to go through the GSA security check. We welcome written comments and questions in advance of the Industry Day, but the final deadline for written comments is May 15, 2002. GSA proposes the following schedule for this acquisition: 1. RFC issued: April 23, 2002 2. Industry Day: May 8, 2002 3. Comments received: May 15, 2002 4. Formal RFP Issued: May 31, 2002 5. Proposals due: June 28, 2002 6.
