Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons has a requirement for an Architect/Engineering firm to design the expansion of the special housing unit at USP Florence, Colorado. It is desired to add an additional 50 cells to the unit. The project includes the design and all related professional services for the Cellhouse expansion. Services consist of performing an environmental assessment; the development of construction documents; specifications; cost estimates; life cycle cost analysis; bidding; construction administration; inspection; and mediation between the Bureau of Prisons and any applicable governing agencies for a project of this type. The estimated cost of construction is between 3,000,000 and 5,000,000 dollars. Consideration will be limited to firms licensed to practice in the State of Colorado and located within a 200 mile radius of Florence, Colorado. Selection of firms to be interviewed will be based on the following evaluation factors: Firm?s Capacity and Capability (30%), Proposed Project Team and Organization (40%), and Experience and Performance (30%). Firms responding to this notice within 30 calendar days of the date of notice will be considered. Firms desiring consideration shall submit appropriate SF-254 and SF-255 forms.
