- Description
- The Agency for International Development/Bureau for Policy and Program Coordination (USAID/PPC) intends to extend for a period of 12 months it(s) present contract with Logical Technical Services Corporation, 7250 Woodmont Avenue Suite 340, Bethesda, MD 20814 to allow for the full and open competition of the follow-on contract. The activities include development literature and experimental information that is generated through USAID(s) Development Experience System which includes access to more than 500,000 Agency reports and official records, program activities and results. This information is used by USAID staff, development partners and development practitioners. It is also used by PPC/CDIE Development Information Service contract staff for proactive and on-demand research, reference and analysis services for these same audiences. The contract also provides regional publication distribution, Agency directives cd-rom, records management processing and technical assistance services for AID/W Bureaus. The contract includes the management and operation of the USAID Development Experience Clearinghouse which provides a variety of professional and technical support services to: (1) obtain and select key Agency development resource and experiential materials; (2) acquire, extract, format, process, store and disseminate documented strategic, program, lessons learned, experiential, technical, and performance-based information; and, (3) create value-added, electronic and paper-based, information products (reports, databases, websites, listserves) which convey USAID(s) development experience to USAID staff, their development partners, and the U.S. public. This notification is posted in accordance with FAR 5.202 and 6.302-1 for the 12-month extension period only. Firms that believe they can provide similar required services are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification to the Contracting Officer. Firms believing they can provide the required services must provide conclusive supporting evidence that they can furnish the services identified above in sufficient detail to demonstrate the respondent's ability to meet the stated critical requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. All responses received from date of publication of this synopsis and intended award will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action for the 12-month extension period will be based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
