Description
It is the Government's intent to issue a Firm Fixed Price requirement for NSN:8475-00-123-9104 (s), Underwear, Double-Knitted, Anti-Exposure CWU-22/P for a quantity of 306/ea in accordance with MIL-DTL-83196C (USAF), dated 30 November 1998 including interim changes. This acquisition will be a 100% total small business set-aside. Two deliveries starting 180 days after date of award to New Cumberland Pa. and Tracy Ca. are required. A First Article inspection is required and shall be in accordance with Para. 3.1, 4.2 and 4.2.1 of MIL-DLT-83196. The quantity of First Article Samples shall include: one 1-1/2 yard piece of basic fabric IAW 3.2.1 basic fabric and shall be tested IAW para. 4.6 of the end item specification. Four (4) of each size, undershirt sizes 1,3,6, and 7 and four (4) of each size, underpants sizes 1,3,6 and 7. Inspection shall be at the Contractor's plant. The First Article samples shall be examined to verify all requirements of MIL-DTL-83196. Quality Conformance Inspection is required and shall be in accordance with para. 4.3. The sample unit shall be one (1) undershirt or one (1) underpant. The inspection level shall be IAW ANSI/ASQC A1.4, leve II for examination in 4.4. and level S-3 for the examination in 4.5. The acceptable quality level (AQL) shall be 1.5 defects per 100 units for major defects and 4.0 defects per 100 units for total. Source sampling is required for basic cloth component IAW MIL-DLT-83196. Government reserves the right to award on a basis other than price alone. All responsible sources may submit a offer which will be considered by the Agency. All materials are contractor furnished. Include notes 1, 9, 26. Availability of solicitations, FAR 5.102(d) applies, as our office no longer issues solicitations in paper form. Offeror should register to receive notification of this solicitation. Copies of this solicitation can be found on the DLA Procurement Gateway (Gateway) at http://progate.daps.mil/home after (04 June 2002). From the Gateway home page, select "Search RFQs" from the left-hand sidebar. Then choose the RFQ you wish to view. In addition, you can enter DSCP C&T FSCs and NSNs to receive notification of RFQs. The Gateway will send all registered users an e-mail notification of RFQ solicitations based on your FSC and NSN profile. The NSN notification will contain a link that can connect users directly to a digital copy of the solicitation on the Internet.
