- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 1011 Honor Height Drive, Muskogee, OK 74401, has a requirement for the following medical service: ORTHOPEDIC CONSULTATION. The Orthopedic Physician will be responsible for Orthopedic services at the VA Medical Center, Muskogee, OK, eight hours per week. Specific hours to be determined by VA staff and Contractor. Services shall include conducting an outpatient clinic for 4 hours and performing orthopedic surgery for 4 hours. An estimated thirty (30) patients per day will be scheduled in the clinic setting. Contractor shall provide a detailed and complete orthopedic history and examination consistent with the patient?s presentation, appropriate treatment including ambulatory office surgery and inpatient surgery, ordering and interpreting appropriate orthopedic diagnostic studies, development of a plan of care for the patient?s orthopedic condition, appropriate orders and/or prescriptions in CPRS (Computerized Patient Record System), establish plans for follow-up care. Contractor shall carry out necessary ambulatory operative procedures in this surgical subspecialty on ambulatory and hospitalized patients of the Muskogee VAMC, according to established hospital and medical staff policies. These activities shall be scheduled and coordinated through the Chief, Surgical Service. Major joint replacement and spinal or back surgery will not be performed at this VA Medical Center. Physicians assigned by the Contractor to perform services covered by proposed contract shall be U.S Citizens and must be Board Certified in Orthopedics. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 621111 and the size standard is 5M. Requests for bid packages shall be in writing on company letterhead. Requests may be faxed to 918-680-3852. Proposal packages shall be available after June 20, 2002. Proposals shall be returned to this office by COB July 22, 2002. The government is not responsible for the quality of faxed material.
