Description

NA CONTACT Alan Forest, Quality Assurance Specialist (732) 427-5375. This is a market survey to locate additional sources to assemble/manufacture a tool kit and tool box to be used for Unit and Direct support Maintenance. The previous sources were General S ervice Administration (GSA) and the defense Supply Center. Method of procurement will be a 5-year contract, with the approximate quantity to be procured the first year of 25. The subsequent 4 year range quantities will vary from 1-15, 16-30 each year. T here are 169 items which make up the kit. These items consist of various hand tools and soldering equipment, i.e., soldering irons, hammers, screwdrivers, pliers, socket sets, etc. Upon request the government will furnish a list of each item by National Stock Number (NSN), item description, and previous suppliers CAGE. Tools must be equal to or better than the items on the government?s list if the contractor chooses to substitute an item. If for any reason an item is unobtainable the government will fur nish it as Government furnished Material (GFM). The tool box must contain wheels and have foam inserts for the incursion of the tools. A parts list identifying each tool shall be included with the tool kit. Suppliers capable of furnishing these items mu st so indicate by writing to Commander, US Army, CECOM ATTN: AMSEL-LC-IEW-C-CF (Forest), Fort Monmouth, NJ. 07703-5000. This response must include documentation such as contract numbers, copies of purchase orders, if the supplier was a vendor to the prev ious source, or a statement from the previous source demonstrating that the supplier can, in fact, supply an item that will be physically and functionally interchangeable with those items acquired from the previous supplier. Successful suppliers may be re quired to warrant that the items supplied will perform satisfactory when used for the purpose intended by the Army.
