Description
NA Sources Sought - The Communications and Electronics Command CECOM) Acquisition Center and PM Target Identification and Meteorological Sensors (PM TIMS) are seeking sources for ideas/concepts for providing low cost Combat Identification Solutions for the Ar my's Legacy and Interim Force vehicles. a. Topic #1 - The ideas/concepts shall be based on any mature technology that can start to be fielded in FY 2004. The cost shall not exceed $10,000.00 per vehicle. b. Topic #2 - The ideas/concepts shall meet the requirements of NATO STANAG 4579 (Battlefield Target Identification Device). The cost shall not exceed the values for the ranges of quantities specified below (cost is for B-Kit only; does not include installation kit cost): 2500 systems or less at $20,000 per system. 2500-5000 systems at $15,000-$20,000 per system. 5000 systems or more at less than $15,000 per system. c. Topic #2a - The ideas/concepts shall meet the requirements of NATO STANAG 4579 to provide a low cost Transponder only configuration that has electrical and mechanical provisions to allow for quick connect/disconnect to vehicles for Coalition use. This is a market survey requesting information only. No solicitation will be issued against this notice. This survey is also issued IAW the requirements of FAR Part 10 to determine the applicability of FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. Abstract shall include description of the idea/concept and provide performance characteristics. Additionally, for Topics 2 and 2a you may propose devia tions/changes to the STANAG performance to enhance cost reduction. Information should be received no later than 15 Jul 2002.
