Description

NA Upgrade Cable Plant, Fort Detrick-wide. The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity intends to issue a firm-fixed-price requirements contract for a contractor to furnish all labor, supervision, equipment, material and supplies necessary to install Fiber Optic Cable and Copper Cable of various types for upgrading the cable plant at Fort Detrick, Maryland via individual delivery orders issued against the requirements contract. Work includes, but is not limited to the following: install in existing du ct systems; install on existing strand or aerial cable; install by direct buried method; install on existing pole lines; patch panel termination; install gas tube protected building terminal; fusion splicing; install underground closure; install interduct in existing duct system. The duration of the contract will be for a period of twelve months from the date of award with three one year option periods. Reference Invitation for Bid No. DAMD17-02-B-0003 available on or about 29 July 2002 and opening on or ab out 29 Aug 2002. All potential bidders are reminded, that pursuant to DFARS 252.204-7004, all Federal Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database (CCR Website: www.ccr2000.com or http://www.usamraa.army.mil or reque st form at 1-888-227-2423). Electronic solicitations may be obtained at the following URL: http://www.usamraa.army.mil. Any amendments issued to this IFB will also be available at this URL. It is, therefore, the bidders' responsibility to check the above URL daily for any posted cha nges to the IFB. HARD COPIES OF THE SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE PROVIDED BY THIS CONTRACTING OFFICE. NO PHONE REQUESTS FOR IFB PACKAGE WILL BE ACCEPTED. Bidders shall provide a signed copy of the SF 1442 at time and place specified in the IFB for bid opening. Bids will be publicly opened. Sealed envelop es containing bids shall be marked to show the bidder's name and address, the IFB No., and the date and time bids are due. The NAICS code for this requirement is 234920 with the size standard of $27.5M in average annual receipts. The estimated price range is between $250,000 and $500,000 for the base year. Unrestricted (subject to PL 100-656, Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program). Any resulting award will be firm-fixed price.
