Description
The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, MD 20670 intends to contract on a sole source basis from United Technologies Corp., Pratt & Whitney (P&W) Aircraft Group, 400 Main Street, East Hartford, CT 06108-0969. P&W shall be required to perform all engine/components repairs and provide F100 unique material for all levels of maintenance and maintains all facilities that are necessary for the support of this engine. P&W shall be required to review and analyze each F100 engine and provide analysis for enhancing engine reliability, maintainability and supportability. P&W shall provide a qualified, full time representative on-site at NAS Fallon for maintenance and logistics support of organizational level personnel. Using the knowledge obtained from these efforts, P&W shall review and provide engineering and logistics analysis of ongoing Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) /Technical Directives (TD) preparations, drawings, publication updates, Maintenance Planning/Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and product improvement programs on a recurring basis. P&W shall also provide Engineering Investigation (EI) support, Mishap Investigation support, Field Team Support, and Support Equipment support. The resulting contract will be for a period of four months. P&W is the sole qualified designer, developer, and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the F100 engines and has the requisite knowledge, experience, and data required to meet the requirements of this procurement.
