- Description
- The Office of Woman Health/Office of Public Health and Science (OPHS) through the Program Support Center (PSC), Division of Acquisition Management (DAM), has a requirement to provide professional services in developing and implementing comprehensive HIV/AIDS/STD prevention and support services to incarcerated and newly released women living with HIV/AIDS/STD?s in collaboration with local health care entities, social services, and criminal justice offices. The purpose of this requirement is to establish a model for continuum of care (e.g. treatment and therapies) and secondary prevention counseling to improve health outcomes of incarcerated and newly released women living with HIV/AIDS/STD?s. The Contractor shall develop and implement a model support program to provide comprehensive HIV/AIDS/STD prevention and support services to incarcerated and newly released women living with HIV/AIDS/STD?s. The Contractor shall propose a pilot program to address gaps in services to incarcerated and newly released women that will be implemented in partnership with local entities. The Government anticipates making three (3) fixed-price awards utilizing FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures and will incorporate provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-06. The simplified acquisition threshold is $100,000. The period of performance for each award will be twelve months after purchase order awards. In accordance with FAR 5.102(a)(1), the solicitation will be made available electronically on or about 15 days from the date of this publication. The internet address for downloading the solicitation is http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Any notification of changes to the solicitation (amendments) will be posted on the internet. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the site to assure that they have the most up to date information regarding this acquisition. The anticipated solicitation release date is July 1, 2002.
