- Description
- The Office of Woman Health/Office of Public Health and Science (OPHS) through the Program Support Center (PSC), Division of Acquisition Management (DAM), has a requirement to assist a mentor in providing professional services to develop and implement a Model Mentorship Program, as well as, provide technical assistance in the areas of administration and program development for women at risk or living with HIV/AIDS in rural and urban areas. The purpose of this requirement is to enhance community-based and women organizations? capacity to delivery primary and secondary HIV/AIDS prevention services to women, particularly minority women in both urban and rural environments. The contractor shall assist a mentor in developing goals for improving operational capacity and women centered programs that address HIV/AIDS prevention in local areas with the assistance of a mentor. The contractor shall assist a mentor in developing a ?Plan of Action? in order to increase and enhance HIV/AIDS services to women living in rural and urban areas. The Government anticipates making six (6) separate fixed-price awards utilizing FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures and will incorporate provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-06. The simplified acquisition threshold is $100,000. The period of performance for each award will be twelve months after purchase order awards. In accordance with FAR 5.102(a)(1), the solicitation will be made available electronically on or about 15 days from the date of this publication. The internet address for downloading the solicitation is http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Any notification of changes to the solicitation (amendments) will be posted on the internet. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the site to assure that they have the most up to date information regarding this acquisition. The anticipated release date for the solicitation is July 1, 2002
