- Description
- ANNOUNCEMENT FOR SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL SERVICES SCREENING INFORMATION REQUEST (SIR) DTFA-02-02-R-07395 On or about July 1, 2002, the FAA will solicit proposals, on an all or none basis, for solid waste disposal services at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC). The requirement includes the daily furnishing, emptying, and disposal of solid waste, via truck-loader metal type solid waste disposal containers. Required containers, sizes, and estimated quantities include: 8 each ? four cubic yard containers; 15 each ? six cubic yard containers; 8 each - eight cubic yard containers; 1 each - six cubic yard trailer mounted unit; 14 each - 30 yard open top haul-away industrial type containers (estimated 285 pulls); and, 40 yard open top haul-away industrial type containers on an as needed basis. These services are needed to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for MMAC employees, students, and contractors. Accordingly, it has been determined that only firms meeting the following minimum pre-qualification criteria will be solicited: 1. Must have a local area business office and phone number (i.e Oklahoma City metro dialing area/non-toll call.) 2. Must currently own or have the financial and technical capability to readily acquire the necessary equipment, as listed above, and additional personnel, if needed. 3. Must currently be satisfactorily providing these same type of services, in the same or similar size of account, within a 50 mile radius of the Aeronautical Center. 4. Must currently possess all local, state, and federal licenses/permits related to the solid waste disposal business. The resultant contract will include a base year and four 1-year renewal options. These options may or may not be exercised, at the sole discretion of the FAA. This acquisition contemplates a phased approach. This, the initial phase, involves the announcement of the requirement in order to permit firms an opportunity to express an interest and demonstrate that they meet all of the above-specified pre-qualification criteria. Only those firms responding to this announcement, and who are determined to have met all of the criteria, will be allowed to participate in the next phase. The FAA reserves the right to no longer consider on this acquisition, firms which fail to respond, firms which respond incompletely, or firms which respond with any information found to be verifiably false. The remaining phase(s) of the down select process will be identified in future communications with those firms that successfully respond to this public announcement. Interested firms, who can comply with and meet the requirements addressed in this announcement, should respond by June 21, 2002, in writing, with supporting documentation that conclusively demonstrates that they meet all of the above-specified criteria.
