Description
NA Fort Hood Contracting Command is soliciting for follow-on construction job order contracts (JOC). These construction services will be predominantly for the repair and renovation of existing facilities, and minor new construction projects not expected to e xceed the installation Real Property Management Activity statutory limit of $750,000.00 per task order. This contracting activity anticipates awarding three contracts initially: two unrestricted and one 8(a) set aside. Proposed JOCs will be firm-fixed pr ice IDIQ type construction contracts consisting of a base period (from date of award through one year) with four one-year option periods (for the large business awards), and a base period with two one-year option periods (for the successful 8(a)). The Gov ernment reserves the right to make subsequent awards from this solicitation for up to six months following initial award. The guaranteed annual minimum amounts for the unrestricted awards will be $250,000.00, and $150,000.00 for the 8(a). Scope of work i ncludes abatement, demolition, site work, excavation, drainage, utilities, roads, roofing, siding, sheet-metal work, doors, windows, glazing, pipe fitting, plumbing, electrical, fire extinguishing and alarm systems, heating, cooling and air conditioning sy stems, and electrical distribution systems. Awardees will be responsible for obtaining, maintaining and operating a computer system compatible with Government computer systems and networks. All work under these JOCs will be ordered by issuance of individ ually negotiated task orders. Fort Hood will be utilizing the Timberline/Means Estimating System in the development of its work projects. Potential offerors will be required to acquire rights/licenses for this software to participate in this acquisition. The magnitude of the proposed procurement is estimated to be more than $50,000,000.00; NAICS is 234990. This acquisition is being advertised as unrestricted, full and open competition (with the noted 8(a) set aside consideration). The solicitation will b e available on or about 28 June 2002 by accessing https://abop.monmouth.army.mil or the Fort Hood Contracting website at http://ccmd.hood.army.mil.
