In addition, the semi-continuous analyzer is needed for particulate matter receptor modeling studies (ambient and personal). The requested semi-continuous particulate carbon analyzer must meet the following requirements: organic and elemental carbon concentrations with a time resolution of at least 1 hour, organic and elemental carbon concentration sensitivity of at least 0.5 micrograms carbon per cubic meter for a 30 minute sample at 8 liters per minute, and transmittance measurement with a temperature stabilized diode laser. The analyzer must be capable of running the NIOSH Method 5040 and EPA Speciation Trends Network particulate carbon analysis protocols. The vendor shall provide, and costs should be included and itemized in the bid, for the following: 1. Laptop with the operating software for the analyzer; 2.
