Description

Minerals Mangement Service (MMS) is requesting proposals in response to request for quotation (RQ25400123) for a contractor to prepare report(s) regarding methodology by which to calculate the impact zones associated with the detonation of explosive on the seafloor and in open water. Therefore, the MMS Gulf of Mexico OCS Region (GOMR) seeks to procure as set of equations that describe the shock wave and acoustic properties associated with underwater explosions. The Contractor shall develop or modify an underwater shock wave/sound transmission model to determine the parameters and equations that describe the shock wave and acoustic properties associated with the underwater detonation of explosives at the seafloor and in the water column. The contractor shall provide written report(s) as described in the Requirements Section of the RFQ. The report(s) will be incorporated into the MMS Programmatic Environmental Assessment (PEA) as an appendix. For a copy of the RFQ contact the contracting officer.
