Description
The Veterans Affairs Medical Center located in Birmingham, Alabama, requires in home sleep screens/sleep studies to cover the state of Alabama and parts of the bordering states. The contractor must be fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and maintain compliance for all requirements for in-house sleep screens and comprehensive sleep studies (estimated at 42 each). All personnel involved in conducting the sleep screen shall have at least one year of specialized experience/or a graduate of an accredited school in Polysomnongraphy. Personnel shall be registered or registry eligible in the field of sleep medicine and/or respiratory therapy, and certified in CPR. A Registered Polysomnographic Technologist shall perform analysis of all test data and only a physician who is Board Certified or board eligible in Polysomnography shall perform interpretation of the test data. Contractor shall provide all supplies, personnel, materials, transportation, and costs associated with providing these services to eligible veterans. Period of contract will be a base one-year period with four one-year options for renewal. NAICS code is 621999. Electronic solicitations will be available on or about 6/19/02.
