Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to procure on a sole source basis with VLSI Research, Inc., San Jose, CA for an annual subscription renewal to CHIP MAKING MARKETS, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) Only One Source Reasonably Available. The service provides critical statistical information on the semiconductor industry and is a sole source requirement since VLSI performs the market research and consistently updates its databases so that current information is readily accessible to the subscriber. A fixed price Purchase Order for calendar year 2003 will be awarded on or about July 3, 2003 using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competition. However, the Government will consider all responses received by the closing date. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill the requirement. A Request for Quotation (RFQ) will not be issued. See Note 26.
