- Description
- This modification changes the approximate solicitation date and closing dates and increases the quantity required. The solicitation will be issued as an RFP. This is for a firm fixed price Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity contract with a 3-year ordering period for a High Speed Gearbox applicable to C-5 aircraft. Initial order for contract 38 each will be placed at time of contract award. Ordering period two quantity is 38 each and ordering period three quantity is 38 each. Contract minimum is 38 each with contract maximum of 114 each. NSN: 1680-01-282-0281UC, P/N: 42357-117. DIM: approximately 6 inches X 12 inches X 4 inches. Transfers power input from Electric and Hydraulic motors to the Main Landing Gear Rotary Actuator. Predominant material of manufacture: Aluminum housing with steel internal components. The approximate solicitation issue date will be 1 Jul 2002 with approximate response date of 31 Jul 2002. Solicitation will be available for viewing or downloading from www.FedBixOpps.gov website only. No telephone requests. NO HARD COPIES WILL BE ISSUED. E-Mail and fax responses to the RFP are acceptable. Restricted to Rolls-Royce Gear Systems, Inc., 6125 Silver Creek Drive, Park City UT 84068-0910 (Cage Code: 82402). Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), ?Supplies (or services) required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible source(s) and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements? applies. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered. All potential sources should contact the buyer/PCO identified above for additional information and/or to communicate concerns, if any concerning this acquisition. If your concerns are not satisfied by the Contracting Officer, an Ombudsman has been appointed to hear serious concerns that are not resolved through established channels. The purpose if the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the Program Director or Contracting Officer, but to communicate serious contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of the proposals or in the source selection process.
